December 2017 Thoughts of the Last Days

December 13, 2017 By Bear Ian Leave a Comment

Today is the second day of Hanukkah, Festival of Lights, Feast of Dedication.

In the last week, President Trump announced that the United States recognizes Jerusalem as the eternal, undivided capital of Israel and that the American Embassy would be moved to Jerusalem. Despite this decision having been made by Congress in 1995, it has been stalled for 22 years by the signing of a waiver on its implementation by each President ever since; Clinton, Bush, Obama, and even Trump. Predictably, the Arab/Muslim world, what I think is called the Ummah, went crazy and threatened Israel’s destruction and possibly World War III beginning with a call for Three Days of Rage. Several rockets have been launched into Israel from Gaza and the IDF has responded with precise aerial attacks on locations suspected of being storage facilities for ammunition and arms by Hamas.

Meanwhile, in the United States, the Pentagon decided to allow Transgenders to enlist in the military.

Russia has announced that it is pulling most of their military forces out of Syria with the exception of one airbase and one naval base. This has me thinking about Ezekiel 38:4 where God says, “I will turn you around, put hooks into your jaws, and lead you out…” Focusing on the first few words, to “turn around” suggests causing to change direction. So if Gog is being turned towards Israel, then Gog must be facing away from or headed away from Israel if God is going to turn Gog around. This just has me wondering if Russia’s announced withdrawal from Syria could be leading to Ezekiel 38:4

Regarding ‘signs in the skies’, the most interesting thought from another ‘watcher’ that I’ve recently read is that The Revelation 12 Sign of Sept. 23rd was a wedding invitation, and the 7th Day of Hanukkah is the wedding, being the same day that Esther was married to the King. This would be December 19th-20th, which is 88 days from the Revelation 12 Sign, where 8 represents endings and ‘new beginnings’. For the next two days, the Earth is passing through the Gemenid meteor shower and it’s said to be very active.

USA Recognizes that Jerusalem is the Capital of Israel

December 6, 2017 By Bear Ian Leave a Comment

us-embassy-in-jerusalem-2018On December 6, 2017, US President Donald Trump announced the United States recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and ordered the planning of the relocation of the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

The United Nations Security Council held an emergency meeting on December 7 where 14 out of 15 members condemned Trump’s decision, but the motion was vetoed by the United States.

The US embassy was officially opened in Jerusalem’s southern neighborhood of Arnona on May 14, 2018, coinciding with the 70th anniversary of the Israeli Declaration of Independence.

It’s interesting that on a map the 1949 Armistice Agreement line bisects the new US Embassy in Jerusalem.
